Drafted last week, should I pursue a trade? WHIR

Postby superslugger616 » Sat Mar 22, 2008 2:47 pm

I'm not too sure I see any real need to fix a hole or move a player. Any thoughts on whether I should pursue a trade or stay put?

How did you get both Reyes and Holliday in a 12 team league? That's really nice. I would look to maybe try to trade a bat(since your offense is strong) for a 4th starter that is a little stronger than Lester. I am not a big believer in him and think he wont post more than 10 wins and an era above 4. But, overall, you had a nice draft.

please help

We get to keep three players based on where they were drafted the year before, and we can keep one of them based on where they were drafted 2 years earlier. I got to keep Holliday while giving up my 8th Round pick.

I don't know if you'll like this but its something to think about. Possibly trade Byrnes coming off a career year which he might not be able to match again, to someone who needs speed. Look for either a power hitting bat or a very good pitcher. That will fix the Lester issue of your fourth starter, and if you are worried about steals you can always put Bourn in the outfield to rack up some steals. Just throwing an idea out there, the only thing I'm worried about with your team is where the power will come from other than Holliday. A lot will fall on how well Atkins and Kinsler perform in those categories. Overall very good team though! ;-D
