Postby philcore » Fri Mar 21, 2008 8:30 pm

ESPN league - 9 Pitchers. no specific starters or relievers.

Cats are:
IP H ER BB K W SV ERA WHIP

Do i go SP heavy, RP heavy or good mix?

I would go a nice mix. With H and BB (and ER to and extent) as cats you can probably do better with closers and great MR's than with average SP's. You may end up forfeiting IP but good to great SP's will get you those wins and your RP's might vulture a few. Maybe a 5 SP 4 RP split? Hopefully win ERA, WHIP, SV for sure each week. You would then have a good shot at W, ER and BB. You probably give up K's and IP though.

I would say 4 SP's, 2 MR's and 3 closers. I'd load up on ground ball pitchers with those cats.

I would say 5 SP, 1 MR, and 3 closers. I personally dont think MR's are that important in your situation but you are going to need at least 1. and you always want to lean a little towards more SP's but thats just my opinion.

Please look at my team and leave suggestions PLEASE: viewtopic.php?f=29&t=329338&p=2646269#p2646269

I would say 5 SP, 3 Closers, 1 Mid relief (marmol etc) - You'll need a lot of quality strikeouts and innings guys, and closers/mid relief should bring down the WHIP and ERA. Good luck! Thanks for the help with mine.
