Rotisserie?

I was wondering if someone could inform me what exactly a Rotisserie league is. For the past 3 years, I've played strictly a h2h league, but decided to switch it up this year. I've also played a points league in basketball. Is that the same thing as Rotisserie?

nah I don't mean to give you a hard time, it's more like:

Whereas Points leagues give differing values for each stat catagory, Roto ranks your team in each cat. So if you finish in 1st place in say, HR (5x5, 12 teams) you would receive 12 points and the last place finisher would receive 1 point, assuming there were no ties. If you finished 5th overall in K, you would receive 8 points, again assuming no ties, because you split a catagory and wind up with half points. If you finished 3rd in SB you would get 10 points. Let's say you finish next to last in ERA, you get 2 points. I think you can get the idea......Each player's points in each catagory are then added up to achieve the final tally. If you finished first in all catagories you would receive 120 points.
