agreed, stop complaining about people letting out their worries regarding their teams. if you don't like it, then just ignore it and move on, no need to make stupid smartass comments telling people what to say and not say. you going around and complaining is 100x more annoying and is not going to shut people up from talking about their teams; that's been part of these forums forever and its not like they're asking for roster advices.

Exactly.
The ultimate irony now being, that "Syfo-Dyas" (it's actually spelt Sifo-Dyas) has more posts in this thread than anyone else, and has yet to add anything of substance, let alone anything regarding Smoltz' injury concerns.
Pot, Kettle, Black........you get the idea.
Anyways, back on topic.
Mar 21 Smoltz was scratched from Friday's scheduled spring start due to tightness in his throwing shoulder and neck area, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. "It's not a big deal," Smotlz said.
Recommendation: While this injury is likely minor, keep a close eye on any health issue since he'll turn 41 years old this season.
RHP John Smoltz missed his start because of tightness in his right shoulder, but he said he would have pitched through the discomfort in the regular season.

It annoys ONLY YOU 100x more, and the few others who likes to trash topics with stupid smartass comments, instead of saying something helpful, which I was trying to get. You are very "smart". If something was there forever than it must be good, and shouldnt be changed. Lets stupidity rule. BTW if anyone can say anything here, than you souldve saved your idiotic smartass comment.
And you can save your answer. Im not gonna read this useless topic anymore, so you can whine about your lineup.

As for the topic at hand,
Manager Bobby Cox conceded there is at least a possibility Smoltz could begin the season on the disabled list, though he was optimistic that could be avoided.
"He'll be fine," Cox said after the Braves' 6-4 loss against Cleveland. "He'll be ready."
The consensus among team officials and Smoltz was this was merely the type of soreness that an aging pitcher can expect occasionally and not a serious injury that might threaten his season or require surgery.
Smoltz said it was a knot in the trapezius muscle in his right shoulder/neck area, rather than pain or discomfort in the ball or back of the shoulder, where rotator cuff or labrum injuries occur.
"He wants to have a strong year and make it through the whole season," Cox said. "So I don't see any reason to push him right now."
Smoltz said he didn't fight the decision like he might have in the past, when he has been stubborn and pitched through more pain than he should have.
"It's a long season," he said, "and it's more important for me to be able to help the team over the long haul than in one game."

Well, as long as they're talking about soreness and not a pull or a tear of any sort, I'll refrain from hitting the panic button. Hopefully he makes his start on Wed and gets through it well enough. Guess we'll have to wait and see.
Mar 23: Updating previous reports, Atlanta Braves SP John Smoltz (shoulder) plans to play catch Monday, March 24 or Tuesday, March 25, according to Mark Bowman of Atlanta.Braves.MLB.com. If all goes well, he could pitch in a minor league game Wednesday, March 26 or Thursday, March 27. By pitching in a minor league game, the Braves still have the option to backdate the transaction date if the team decides to place Smoltz on the disabled list at the beginning of the season.
