Northern NJ RFBL has1-2 openings
The RotoFantasy Baseball League (RFBL) enters its fourth season. We draft on Friday 3/26 at 7 PM in Totowa, New Jersey (Passaic County-20 minutes from the GW Bridge). We are a 5 x 5 mixed (AL-NL) ultra style league (HR, RBI, Runs, SBs, BA Ks, Wins, Saves, WHIP, and ERA). We use an outside auctioneer to run the proceedings, as the starting line-up is selected by auction draft with traditional 260 units. We had 14 teams last year, with several owners coming from this great rotojunkie board. 12 of last years teams are returning. We have filled one opening, and have one existing team left. We would also like to add 2 expansion teams to go to 16 teams total. Each team has the typical 23 starters (14 and 9) with a reserve squad of 10 players and farm team of 4. Teams can keep up to ten players, protecting 8 from expansion and adding up to two more after the expansion draft. Since this is our fourth year, many of the best players were C contract players in year 3 and go back into the draft. We have succesfully run a football league for 11 years and most of our owners are competitive, having been in various leagues for several years. Age range of owners from 30-50, with most between 35 and 40. All owners have imput on rules with annual rules meeting. Trades allowed subject to restrictions. Cost is $250 per team, $235 of which goes into pool. We use TQ Stats. Expansion teams are permitted to enter at half price-$125 (but win only half) if they feel they will be less competitive in year one. New teams pick first in the reserve and farm drafts. First five team finish in the money (50% for first; 20% for second, 15% for third, 10%-4th; 5%-5th) Deposit of $100 will secure spot. I'm beginning a new AL Auction League and looking for a core of owners. There is a $100 entrance fee and the auction will be March 27 beginning at 7 PM EST in a chatroom. It will be a 5 x 5 keeper league complete with long term contracts, buy-outs, and minor leagues. The league features extended minor league rosters, daily transactions, a competetive but enjoyable ambience on a CBS Sportsline website.
