I am hoping Mcab is still there at 8 There is a chance because my league members go by the the rankings on CBS Sportsline and they do no studying but anyway if he or Utley is not there , who would you choose? Braun, Howard, Pujols ,Santana ,Fielder or Ortiz. I am in a 14 team rotiserie 5x5 league.I don't know why but the way the past drafts have been I have a feeling that Santana and Pujols will be taken before my pick. I am hoping this happens because I don't want to have to decide on Pujols.
I would take Migs or Utley over Howard...but if both are gone, Howard is a great consolation prize and somebody I think could very easily out-produce the above two guys in 5 x 5...it's just that 3B and 2B are positions that are best if filled early (especially 3B this year in my opinion...that just falls off a cliff after Chipper)
Why don't they just get a house that's already painted?
i had 8th pick last week and arod, hanley, wright, reyes, holliday, miggy, howard were gone. i planned on getting howard, so i was a little caught off guard, but actually it was an easy decision to go with rollins at 8th. he is the last of the elite SS's; there's a big falloff after him. i didn't go after prince fielder because i knew i'd have a shot at david ortiz for 1B. luckily, i got ortiz after the turn. if ortiz wasn't available, i might have taken pujols, he was taken right after ortiz. i thought it was a pretty good 1 and 2 pick, getting a elite power/speed SS and a big boppin' 1B.
If Johan and Pujols are taken before you, there's a chance Holliday could fall to you... That would be a no brainer, and he he doesn't fall, Howard, then Utley, then MCab.
