Rating my first fantasy team (ever) greatly appreciated

Postby Guest » Fri Feb 20, 2004 11:33 am

Greetings everyone!,

This is my first post for my first fantasy team ever. This is a 5X5 Roto Yahoo Public league (autodraft). I did NOT use the yahoo default rankings and pre-ranked with my own. I feel my infield is strong (notably SS) yet my pitching may be a weakness. What do you guys think? Trade possibilities?

-Thanks!

Very strong team. Since you've got four closers, you may want to trade one (Julio or Rhodes) away for another solid SP. I'd take a guy on the Dodgers (Nomo?) or Yankees (Contreras).

Great team!
Nice draft. Congrats

You have so much depth with your offense its crazy!

Your P is incredible too. Oswalt, Brown and Beckett is a fine 1-3. Just be carefull of injuries. Your closers are fine - 4 of them are a luxury coming out of the draft - nicely done. Harden and Garcia both have big ?s.

If this were my team, I would look to upgrade that 3rd OF (if you can call Cabrera or Kearns a weakness there). More importantly, though, Id feel better with another top flight SP - one without much injury risk. I would try and package a couple players for him, and Id rather give up a it of offense to do that.

OBTW - Crawford and Reyes are undroppable from your team if you want to compete in steals, cause no one else on your squad runs.

Congrats on the nice team ;-D

That team looks pretty strong to me. You have a lot of depth and could probably make a move or two to improve with the guys you have. Maybe pick up an ace but you dont even need it. Congrats on the good team.

Thanks everyone....

I want to have fun this summer, and your comments are appreciated.

I like my team and then I see Cornbread Maxwell's 911 autodraft results and I just salivate!

Yep, I would like to get that one more ace at SP!

good luck everyone.

There will come a day when Barry Bonds leaves baseball, and everything about the game will be the better for it.
