He still did what he was supposed to do against them to justify his hype. A legit lineup would be nice but I'm sure that everyone knows the Giants offense is a joke and he needs a real test.

He's up against the Mets next, I believe. I'm sitting him out that game, but it would go a way to establishing himself as a legit fantasy pitcher this year.

Why?

The Mets aren't as deep offensively as people think. There are much better offensive teams out there. I could see another 5 IP type of game with solid peripherals.

So he struggled at the beggining of the year and at times is inconsistant w/ control, but he is now 7-0 in his last 8 starts. The cafe was buzzing about this guy prior to April. I haven't read anything about him since. The ERA is now under 4 and falling although the WHIP still leaves something to be desired. He keeps getting better as he gains confidence and experience. I hope others have been riding this streak. This guy is going to be a key piece to some championships down the stretch.

I think you have to give props to the Brewers for continuing to trot him out there despite his early struggles. There are a lot of teams going the bullpen route with young pitchers these days, but apparently there's still a case to be made for the more traditional way. I just hope he can continue to improve on the BB.
