Fraternity League, How'd I do? WHIR

I think this team is incredible... I got the steal of my life in Paul Konerko in the 18TH ROUND. We were drafting live and somehow, everybody missed him.

12-Teams, standard 5x5 yahoo. Only difference is we have 1 extra P and 1 extra Util and 2 less BNs.

Well here it is, I was 3rd pick by the way. (Round drafted is in parentheses)

C - R. Martin (4)
1B - D. Ortiz (2)
2B -R. Cano (7)
SS - J. Reyes (1)
3B - G. Atkins (5)
OF- B.J. Upton (3)
OF - B. Abreu (6)
OF - J. Dye (12)
Util - P. Konerko (18, yes, 18)
Util - H. Matsui (13)
BN - J.J. Hardy - SS (15)

SP - D. Matsuzaka (8)
SP - T. Lincecum (9)
RP - B. Jenks (10)
RP - Isringhausen (14)
P - J. Vasques (11)
P - T. Lily (16)
P - C. Buchholz (17)
P - Gorzellany (19)
BN - G. Maddux - SP (20)
BN - J. Broxton - RP (21)

Good team. Incredible might be a reach. Your pitching has a good amount of risk attached to it. I'd move jj hardy. Nice grab on konerko. Without him your power numbers might have been questionable.

nice lineup. i agree pitching is a little shakey. but not bad considering no high picks on it.

the rest of my post assumes this is DAILY roto. i would aggresively look to trade a hitter for a pitcher. nice find on konerko but now you have a problem burning a bench spot on a hitter. and buchholz is also a problem. leaving you with only 1 roster spot to rotate pitching which is unacceptable if you want to win first place.

6-RP spots is a critical. if any MRs are left i would cut gorz and maddux for them. and stream SPs as neccessary. you're going to get smoked on pitching if you roll like that. since everybody should have better pitchers - and you're only using RPs at half capacity.

Sorry, I forgot to put this is H2H, minimum 10IP per week. I've always been under the impression that starters should fill the general P slots.

For the record, the reason I ended up with the position players I did was because 2 guys decided to have a pitching war of attrition and they each burned all of their first 8 picks on pitchers. That's why I'm shallow at pitching, because once those guys took 16 pitchers and everyone else started drafting them, the talent pool was pretty shallow.
