Anyone think his walks are going to significantly drop this year due to Dusty's comments? I'm thinking of drafting him somewhere in the 3rd round in my draft as we count walks, but I'm kinda worried if Dunn is going to change his plate approach this year.

I don't think he'd change his approach at the plate if Jesus himself told him it was a good idea.

Just my opinion.

Its a contract year for Dunn no way is he changing anything that might jeopardize him getting a big fat FA contract. I say draft him with confidence

Agreed. Now, the subconscious effects of being unhappy with his mgr might come into play...

...but Dunn's a gamer. I think he'll continue to go up there looking for the walk or the home run.

If Dunn swings more his avg might go up. His OBP would likely go down though. His other stats may go either up or down depending on how well he adjusts. Pretty much a wash no matter what happens. I'm not too concerned.

The biggest concern is Baker moving him down in the lineup so he doesn't clog the bases. I could see him batting 6th where his OBP is useless.
