Was forced to miss draft. See what my pre-rankings got me!

I was completely bummed that I had to miss my draft today so I pre-ranked my top 250 guys. I have to say I'm quite pleased at how I ended up. Keep in mind though its only a ten team league. Standard Yahoo H2H scoring. I had second pick. The round I got the player is in ().

C- Toby Hall(19)
1B- Raul Ibanez(16)
2B- Jose Vidro(9)
3B- Aaron Boone(8)
SS- Alex Rodriguez(1) With the second pick!!! ;-D
OF- Manny Ramirez(3)
OF- Juan Pierre(15)
OF- Austin Kearns(17)
IF- Nomar Garciaparra(2)Once again I nabbed two SS in the first two rounds.
UTIL- Edgar Renteria(10)
UTIL- Luis Castillo(11)
Bench- Vernon Wells(20)
Bench- Jeremy Giambi(21)
Bench- Adrian Beltre(22)
Bench- Aubrey Huff(23)
Bench- Cristian Guzman(24)
Bench- Luis Rivas(26)

SP- Tim Hudson(4)
SP- Roy Halladay(5)
SP- Mark Prior(6)
SP- Greg Maddux(7)
RP- Jorge Julio(18)
RP- Scott Stewart(25)
P- Joel Pineiro(13)
P- Randy Wolf(12)
Bench- Josh Beckett(14)

All in all I'm pleased. Probably could use another power OF but I got plenty of IF to deal.

Oh god I would never rely on Yahoo's default rankings for any of my drafts. I would have 5 closers picked in the first 7 rounds if I did!

Good team. Not sure what it says about your competition if you pre-drafted and got the players you did. You will probably have a few dead teams by the All-Star break.

Anyway, as you said, you could probably shore up your OF but I would go after a top closer instead. Saves is your only weak category and you have plenty of trade bait.

Way to manipulate the Yahoo rankings! In my Yahoo league there was a run on closers starting the in fourth round! Crazy, and I still ended up with Rivera and Foulke (5th and 10th rounds).

Your team looks good. I'd try and trade for a little bit more power. It's good to have Pierre in a H2H if you know you can get your power elsewhere and you are competing against a weak opponent.

Keep your eye out on the waiver wire. I'd bet that folks like Embree and Spooneybarger are out there if you need more saves.

Good luck!

pretty good team
although i think the 4 straight pitchers in rounds 4,5,6,7, while all quality pitchers, may have hurt your team offensively alittle bit

I say trade one of your SS's,2B, or pierr for a quality closer and/or more powerful OF
