I just noticed this power bat went undrafted in my league!
My pet peeve though is drafting a guy and then seeing that he's sitting out a large number of games (I have to set rosters by the week in my league). Is Cust the A's starting DH (or OF), or will he sit out a lot of games? Is he in a platoon situation?
TIA
Looking forward to back to back championships in 2011!
"With the revelation that DH Mike Sweeney will make the roster, the Athletics will likely play Jack Cust more in left field than at designated hitter. In fact, the team has told him to consider himself an outfielder first, according to The Sports Xchange."
Sounds like he's full-time, which should mean 30+ homers. Don't know what kind of penalty your league has for K's or poor AVG.

Thanks.
K's doesn't matter, but AVG is one of the 5x5 categories.
He'd start the year on my bench, and make it in there when he's hot and another guy is on a cold streak.

if you have the bench space it would be a good idea to platoon him, sitting him vs. lefties. i did that last year and it worked out really well for my "active stats" for him. btw, he batted .218 vs lefties and .273 vs. righties last year. if you're also able to manage his streakiness, even better. he definitely has some nice value either way as a late round pick.

Well, he didn't start this morning, which is a bad sign in game 2.
He's on my bench. Unfortunately, I am not able to change lineups daily.
I'll play him when he's on a hot streak and hope for the best.
