Career platoon player who has already turned 30. He'll hit for a good avg. but has limited power (mostly v lefties) and speed and is only fantasy worthy in NL leagues.
Like NZ said, NL-only and I'd expand that to deep mixed leagues. Wouldn't touch him in H2H and I believe the negative value he'll have in every other category for a standard 12-teamer where you start 3 OF and 1 UT will more than offset any value gained in AVG. He could also be very useful on the bench in roto leagues that don't use GP limits.
Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey

I don't see why he wouldn't be useful, especially if he can get to 500+ at bats. At the very least he's someone you can platoon in your lineup.
It's the 3 HR's in 170 ab's vs righties that concern me if indeed he does play everyday.
Yeah no I get that. But in those 358 ab's, he did have 12 hr. That projects out to about 20 hr with full time ab's, and a .300+ average. Not bad for someone that will most likely be undrafted.
In 838 career PA he has 21 HR so I'd take the under on him getting 20 HR this year. The .320 career BA is largely driven by a .362 BABIP so over a full season I don't even trust he'd hit .300.
He isn't a terrible player to have but I'd take the under on 80 R, under on 20 HR, under on 80 RBI and the under on a .310 AVG.
