Neat topic... can't say I've even thought about how I'd play my team if I was actually managing them.
Starting Lineup: 1.) Carl Crawford (LF) 2.) Howie Kendrick (2B) 3.) Ryan Howard (1B) 4.) Victor Martinez (C) 5.) Garrett Anderson (DH) 6.) Edwin Encarnacion (3B) 7.) Troy Tulowitzki (SS) 8.) Jacoby Ellsbury (RF) 9.) Curtis Granderson (CF)
Starting Rotation: 1.) Roy Oswalt 2.) Dustin McGowan 3.) Ben Sheets 4.) Phillip Hughes 5.) Clay Buchholz
Bullpen: Francisco Rodriguez (Closer) Mariano Rivera (Setup - 8th Inning) Rapheal Betancourt (Setup - 7th Inning) Joe Borowski (Long Reliever/Mop up) Scot Sheilds (Situational) Pat Neshek (Situational)
Bench: Michael Young (Utility Infielder) Mark Reynolds (Utility Infielder) Mike Cameron (Utility Outfielder) Corey Patterson (Pinch Runner) Dmitri Young (Pinch Hitter)
Man... lots of holes here. Bench is too short, no lefties in the bullpen, no emergency starters, and a weak 5-8 in the lineup. I'd get eaten alive by most teams in my league (of course... I already knew that).
1) Jose Reyes, SS, S 2) Kevin Youkilis, 1B, R 3) B.J. Upton, 2B, R 4) Miguel Cabrera, 3B, R 5) Carlos Pena, DH, L 6) Brad Hawpe, OF, L 7) Jeff Francoeur, OF, R 8) Eric Brynes, OF, R 9) Jarrod Saltalamacchia, C, R PH - Jose Guillen, R PH - Edgar Renteria, R
SP1: Dan Haren, RHP SP2: Fausto Carmona, RHP SP3: Chad Billingsley, RHP SP4: Ian Snell, RHP SP5: Chris Capuano, LHP Closer: Matt Capps, RHP Set-Up: Rafael Betancourt, RHP 7th Inning: Rafael Perez, LHP LOOGY: George Sherrill, LHP Long Relief: Gil Meche, RHP Short Relief: Manny Parra, LHP Short Relief: Brandon Lyon, RHP

Interestingly, I always thought about doing a fantasy baseball website that simulated real baseball, i.e. managers set batting order, rotation, and possibly made in-game calls. The more I thought about the logistics though, the more I realized it would be very difficult.
Anyway, my team order: 1. Jimmy Rollins - S 2. Alex Rios - R 3. Carlos Beltran - S 4. Nick Markakis - L 5. Aramis Ramirez - R 6. Adrian Gonzales - L 7. Paul Konerko - R 8. Bengie Molina - R 9. Ian Kinsler - R PH - Josh Hamilton - L, Chris Duncan - L, Michael Bourn -L
Rotation: 1. Cole Hamels - L 2. Felix Hernandez - R 3. Kelvim Escobar - R 4. Rich Hill - L 5. Clay Buchholz - R Relief - Troy Percival - R, Jason Isringhausen - R Setup - Tom Gordon - R Closer - Manny Corpas - R
Hmmm...If this were real baseball I might want a couple lefty relievers

I made an excel program that simulates baseball, you select your team, your lineup, your pitcher and the opponents - and then the program simulates every at bat based on hitter/pitcher skills. Yes - I am a dork.
1. Grady Sizemore 2. Joe Mauer 3. Matt Holliday 4. Ryan Howard 5. Brandon Phillips 6. Adrian Beltre 7. Miguel Tejada 8. BJ Upton 9. Chris Young
1. Ian Kinsler/Willy Tavares 2. Helton/Polanco 3. M Holliday 4. Aramis 5. Ibanez 6. C Guillen 7. Posada 8. Delmon Young/Justin Upon 9. JJ Hardy/Jose Guillen
SP Peavy Sabathia Harang Orlando Hernandez (not expecting to keep him long but at the late stage in the draft it was 6/1 half dozen the other situation) - yeah I need 1 or 2 more SPs (1250 max IP roto) but I'll be patient
