Which Pitchers Do I Pursue with the 4th and 5th picks?

Postby blankman » Fri Feb 20, 2004 12:21 am

This is the second year of my four-team keeper league and I have the 4th and 5th picks in the draft. We keep 4 players and a rookie pitcher.

I'm keeping 4 hitters: Pujols, Arod, Vlad, Helton with Webb. (yes my hitters are insanely better than anyone else's, but I didn't have the pitching)

Roto 6 x 5 unless we find another pitching stat worth using. Any suggestions?

Pitchers kept(not definite yet): Prior, Schilling, Pedro, Gagne

Because I already have 4 great hitters, I think I'm going with pitchers at the 4 and 5 picks, so who should I take?

I was thinking Halladay/Wood/Vazquez/Hudson/RJ but I don't know which two. Thoughts?

Those are all great options. I would go with Halladay and Hudson ;-D.

Four teams means everyone is stacked; but maybe it's a really, really, really deep league..... :-)

I would go Hudson and Halladay or Wood.....

For the other pitching stat, how about Innings Pitched? Or Holds? Or K/BB ratio?

We do have deep rosters- lots of starting positions, but again, to each his own.

Sounds like Hudson and Halladay/Wood. Any more thoughts on which 2 of these 3?
