non keeper 5x5 - who would you take?

id take schilling. id be surprised if he doesnt win 20 behind the sox offense. halladay is very good, but id be more comfortable predicting 18-19 wins for him. schilling will get more K's and a better ERA if he is healthy, which i think he is.

They are pretty close. You have to go with Schilling though.

IMHO, it's not even close. Schilling will get twice the K's as Halladay, a probably a few more wins.

Schilling for the simple reason that he doesn't have to face the Yankee and Sox lineups. Actually, Schilling is just the better pitcher with a better bullpen backing him up.

If CG are a category for you Halladay is the choice though IMO.

Against the status quo I would go for Halladay. Like Schilling he is an absolute horse, has got immaculate control and pitches for a good team but unlike Schilling he is in his prime and is not an injury concern.

There is a very strong chance Schilling will end up on the DL this season.

Weighing up the odds I would definitely go with Halladay.
