Quick Question - and not sure if this is the right forum... so sorry if I missed. I want to stash Prior on my DL, we have 4 spots, but I'm curious if anyone knows traditionally how long teams wait before the start of the season before they put their players on the DL? And would the Padres do it sooner with someone like Prior who they already know will start on the DL? I know there's not a strict answer to this question, I'm just looking for a best guess based on past experience.
Thanks for any help,

Schilling is already on the 60-day DL. It's up to the teams when they want to do it.
0-3 to 4-3. Worst choke in the history of baseball. Enough said.

Thanks for the input guys. I think I'll just wait to pick him up, I think he'll probably still be there in a week.
