Not surprisingly, it's about 50/50 here. The only thing I can possibly disqualify is the "value" argument because there is such a prominent drop off after these two guys that owners are generally willing to reach on either one to avoid dropping down to that second tier of 3B. While there are drop offs in tiers at every other positions, I don't think any are as steep as 3B. Makes for an interesting draft.
I like Aram better and think he will have at least a little better year. However, with them being so close, and Atkins getting consistently drafted a round or so later, I think he is the better Value.
My 12-team H2H draft I scored Atkins in the 6th round (67th pick), while Aram went in round 3 (31st pick). Now Aram might have been drafted a little early because I'm in Chicago and there are mostly Cubs fans in my league, but still, I'll take Atkins in the 6th round any day.
Agree with Ender, etc. on Atkins being the better value pick, but I wanted to add that for every Ramirez injury concern there should be an Atkins trade concern. If he leaves Colorado, he'll go from very good in fantasy to mediocre.

That seems a little late for Atkins, he's been going 4-5th round in most drafts I see. Atkins in the 6th is a steal.
I like atkins b/c (1) he's less injury prone, (2) hits for higher avg, (3) is drafted a bit lower, (4) is 1B eligible in yahoo which is just a bonus (he's actually my starting 1b man)

I'd say their averages are comparable, Ramirez has been a .300+ hitter for the Cubs, and hit for a higher avg than Atkins last year.
The interesting thing about Atkins is that he only hit .254 away from Coors, but at the same time he hit 5 more HR and drove in 5 more runs away from Coors.
