I've already got Porcello and Lars Anderson so I'm pretty happy so far.
My next pick is up and I'm not really thrilled with anyone available to me (only guys who haven't played in the majors are eligible). I only have a couple hours to make a decision
I'll edit this to make a quicker question:
Here are my options in my mind:
Brett Anderson (OAK)
Carlos Triunfel (SEA)
Hank Conger (ANA)
Taylor Teagarden (TEX)
None of these guys will be available for my next pick, which is 25 spots away
Brett Anderson - young with good control, but I already have Porcello and I don't know how much I want to lever myself to starting pitching prospects
Carlos Triunfel - highest rated of the players available. But he has shown NO power and NO speed. The league counts OPS, so his batting average doesn't help - his lack of walks does
Regarding the catchers:
My league has two catchers and 14 teams, so solid catchers are gold. Teagarden walks a ton, so he'll have good OPS. Conger is younger and ranked higher, but has less of a track record. Also Teagarden is amazing defensively and will absolutely stay at catcher, while Conger may not.
Other guys available
Volstad, Masterson, Scherzer, Jordan Walden, Tim Alderson
