Is Towles the starting catcher for HOU?

Its still uncertain, right now hes nursing a strained right hamstring.

I hope Towles starts but I wouldn't be surprised to see Ausmus the starter to begin the season and Towles in AAA for a month.

Guess your gonna have to keep your eyes pealed for the rest of spring training.

everything i've read says he's got the starting job. He better because he's my starting catcher!!!!

Yeah, he's banged up right now and the Astros begin the season at Petco...bottom line: I'd have a backup plan if possible.

i'm pretty sure he's got the job locked down. but who knows if he can produce like he is did in limited duty at the end of the season last year. he is a huge boom or bust player this year. i only drafted him in 1 out of 4 of my teams because in that draft the top 4 (v-mart, martin, mccann, mauer) went way too early. hopefully he can stay healthy and start all year.
