Rotating Dave Roberts and Rajai Davis

I am in a deep competitive roto league (14 teams, 25 total roster spots) and am desperately in need of steals. I was thinking I could possibly get 60+ steals if I rotated Dave Roberts and Rajai Davis daily depending on who would be playing. Can you use pre-game information to determine who will be starting? Is this a decent strategy or should I bail on both these guys?

it depends on if your league has a roster freeze all at once (cbs) or if it locks the players at different times before each game starts (yahoo style)...with the giants being on the west coast itd be pretty much impossible to be sure who was starting each day if there if the roster locks all at once, if you can wait until each teams line ups are set before setting your own, that platoon could bring a lot of steals and if you have a bench spot to use and need steals its probably a pretty good move

Well, from what happened last year, and if Davis continues to perform, I imagine he might steal some ABs from Winn in RF as well.
But as for the platoon, I think (barring a Roberts injury, which is likely) that it will be pretty easy to determine who starts, based purely on the SP. Davis smokes lefties (50 points better), while Roberts hits righties (40 points higher).

And yes, I think you could easily get 50+ SB from a platoon (Roberts stole 31 in 400 AB and Davis stole 22 in less than 200 AB).
