Well, your best bet as a newbie is to follow the average draft position list from ESPN. But move some players up or down based on how you feel they will do.

Well, I wouldn't follow the advice of these drafters:

what was very helpful to me in the beginning (about a week ago)was checking out the cheatsheet on this site.... links along the left side.... and also, watching espn drafts,
http://flbdraft.espn.go.com/livedraft/draftmonitor
and the espn top 200 list which was posted already
most importantly remember you need good balance to be successful in a league.
good luck bud.

My best advice would be to go to Rotoguys.com tomorrow when they have their free weekend and use their projections

(my first use of the little dudes)!

Don't underestimate the difference in average production at the different positions (i.e. most SS/2B produce much less than the average starting OF/1B). It is for this reason that Pujols shouldn't be ranked above A-Rod IMO.
Also, don't forget about SBs. In today's (long ball) era, they are getting tougher and tougher to come by. That's one category I have seen many owners look at after the draft and say... "oops".
