Deeray, do you know why the Yahoo comment says "despite some miscommunication over pitch count" for Kazmir? Was he expecting to go longer?

After 4 innings they pulled him and told him to finish his session in the pen. Kaz had only thrown 54 pitches and was scheduled to throw 70 so he told them he wanted to go back out and pitch and not go to the pen. He actually went to the pen to throw, but the A team called the MLB team and were told to put him back in the game. Part of the reason for his poor 5th, IMO, was he knew he only had so many pitches to use in the 5th and he tried to make everyone count to get out of the inning. I am sure it did not help him that the game started at 10:30 Am either

man I need this guy right now... and congrats to the rays in sweeping the sox, eventhough i'm a sox fan i'm legitimately happy for the rays franchise, I always have a soft spot for small budget, homegrown teams (ironic isn't it???)

It is raining pretty hard here in Durham and it is not projected to stop until after 9. Not sure if he will get his start tonight or not.

Wouldn't have been surprised as it was early last time if I recall correctly. But I guess it's tonight.
