Head-to-head points league (we keep 4)...we count everything including holds and quality starts. I won the championship last year with a team full of youngsters so how do I do this year? My pitching is a bit shaky/unknown I think but I did well last year at building a staff in-season...plus I think these guys have nice potential, no? So what do you think??? Any suggestions on moves??? THANKS AND WHIR

In a 14 man league you are very lucky that you have all those power hitters, that being said maybe you could trade a big name hitter for a big name pitcher(I'm not sure if it will be the best deal but just maybe) but you do need a ace. best of luck winning it all again.

Yeah, I actually thought maybe giving up Hart for a nice pitcher could be an option if some of my OF prospects/sleepers do something...I really dont want to part with Fielder, Ramirez, or Cabrera since it a keeper league. Maybe Martin or Kinsler become options to trade though...however I have no backup catcher and may keep Martin this year so...guess I can always hope my pitching holds up!! Thanks
I love Corey Hart though, he should be really good. Anyways, I think in 14 team league, your offence is probably #1 right now, considering the infield you have. As you said, I don't really see anybody you can trade away for SP other than Hart. SO it depends on who you want to sacrifice.
Good luck this year! Hope for a repeat of championship.
Thanks for the ideas guys...I kind of like trading an OF for a pitcher but I just have a feeling my pitching won't be that bad...anyone else agree?
I mean yes I dont have an ace but Maine, Billingsley, and even McGowan have ace potential imo. My other starters all have high K rates and some pretty nice potential...and my relievers, well Gagne and Lyon are shaky yes but if they come through they will get tons of save opps. Soria is great, granted he is on the Royals but they look better this year no...and Moylan, well we count holds pretty high (8 points...compared to 10 for a save). Is anyone buying me just seeing what happens first...can this staff actually put together a good year for me in a 14-teamer?
I think your offense is great, as has been mentioned. I'm in the boat that your pitching could use an upgrade though. It's not necessarily bad, but you have a lot of young guys that don't have much of a track record. I generally like taking chances on younger hitters over younger pitchers. I'd see if you could get a top-notch starter from someone that needs some power. Nice job overall.
