Reserve draft on CBS

Postby yanks23 » Sat Mar 15, 2008 11:25 am

My league is set up for an auction on CBS on 3/22 (only a few days before the season begins in Japan). They claim that I can change the settings up to 1 hour before the draft, but it is not allowing me to change the Snake reserve draft feature to "Yes." Also, I'm not sure how many guys really want to sit around and draft 5 reserves each after a grueling auction.

So, are there any suggestions as to how we can acquire our reserves? Would it have to be a FA free for all? Any ideas would be helpful.

Just do waivers then. They'll process in order and then go back around. Should be fine.
0-3 to 4-3. Worst choke in the history of baseball. Enough said.

Wouldn't this needlessly eat into FAAB dollars then?

You can also just do it later by e-mail and commish-add the players chosen.

(I also think you can suspend waivers, do the draft by adds, -- just keep up with whose pick it is -- and then turn waivers back on.)
Be excellent to each other.

I'm in an ULTRA league (11 teams), and after the auction we have a 15 player reserve draft. Actually, if everybody is prepared, it goes pretty fast. After that league, we then have a 12 team offense only league draft. Needless to say, it's a fairly long day after both leagues, but nobody ever confused us for rocket scientists. PS: I'm the statastician in the Ultra league, so after both drafts, I have load the rosters to our stat service. I'm usually pretty punchy by that time, but it really reinforces the players on my mind, and especially who is available. I say buck up and do the 5 man reserve draft after a 10 minute break from the auction. It shouldn't be that long.
