Most of the projected lineups I've seen forecast Gordon to hit 6th or 7th. However, he is consistently hitting in the three hole during ST. It seems to me this would be a strong indicator that they're hoping to use him in that spot, which would, I assume, significantly increase his value (especially since he plays on a team that isn't projected to score a lot of runs). Anybody have any insights or information on this?
I did not hear about this anywhere. But if it is true, (HOPE SO), then I would feel much better having him start in my H2H 12 Teamer. I really hope this is fact so I don't have to make a trade to upgrade at 3B.
As much as I hope its true that Gordon and Butler will be 3 and 4....order I don't even care about as long as they are there......with that said, everything I've heard is that they will be lower in the order...at least to start the year.
...Actually to start the year, one or the other may be in the 4 hole because Guillen will miss the first 15 days.....either way there has been no talk from Hillman that either of them will be in the 3 hole.
I think Teahen was hitting 3rd earlier in ST. Then he was hurt for a couple of days with muscle soreness and I've mostly seen him hitting 4 or 5 since. You are right that Gordon's been hitting third a lot lately. However, I think it's still unclear where everyone's gonna bat...
I really think Teahen's power was thwarted last year by his previous shoulder problem. I read an article that mentioned that he really didn't notice how weak he was until he started lifting weights again this off-season. While I don't think that he will hit 30 HR's like some anticipated last year, I don't think 20-25 is out of reach. He already has 2 this spring.

Actually, that is where Hillman has been saying he wants him.
with his production last season, and the potential of butler and gordon, how could one possibly think he'd be a good fit there? id personally hit him 2nd followed by gordon and butler. guillen in the 5 hole, and ta-da. you have yourself a formidable lineup.

Teahen strikes out to much to be a good #2 for me.... If it was me...
