i thought i'd never see the word "anus" in an injury report:

Mar 14 Alyson Footer, of Astros.MLB.com, reports Houston Astros 2B Kazuo Matsui (anus) will undergo surgery Monday, March 17, to repair an anal fissure. The expected recovery time for the surgery is two weeks.

that said, i drafted him cheaply tonight. hope he heals quick from the surgery.

as a kaz owner, i wish he'd just have the damn surgery already and get it out of the way.

The Astros announced Friday that Kazuo Matsui would undergo anal fissure surgery on Monday, but he sought a second opinion Saturday and is undecided about the procedure at this point, according to the Houston Chronicle. "I'm still thinking about whether to the operation or not," Matsui said through an interpreter. "I haven't decided yet." Part of the holdup might be that he'd miss a couple of weeks while recovering, which means he'd probably miss the season opener.

sounds like he's trying to rehab it instead of opting for surgery. does he think he's pujols?
