Made some pitching upgrades. Did I do good?? WHIR.

I'll put the move's in bold. I dropped Derek Lowe and Jon Lester. I picked up John Maine and Ian Snell in the free agent pool. I am in a 8 team, H2H ESPN league with the following pitching categories:

Walks plus Hits Per Innings Pitched (WHIP)
Earned Run Average (ERA)
Strikeouts (K)
Strikeouts per 9 Innings (K/9)
Wins (W)
Saves (SV)

here's my team:

C- Rusell Martin
1B - James Loney
2B- Brandon Phillips
3B- Ryan Braun
SS- Jose Reyes
2B/SS- Troy Tulowitzki
1B/3B- Ryan Garko
OF- Alfonso Soriano
OF- Magglio Ordonez
OF- Matt Kemp
OF- Delmon Young
OF- Jacoby Ellsbury
UTIL- Willy Taveras
Bench- Evan Longoria

SP- Johan Santana
SP- Tim Lincecum
SP- Francisco Liriano
SP- John Maine
SP- Ian Snell
SP- Chad BIllingsley
RP- Jon Papelbon
RP- J.J. Putz
RP- Joakim Soria

I'm figuring that I will have enough saves with Putz and Papelbon, so I can afford to drop a RP and pick up another SP. Help me out pleeeeease

Your offense is stacked. And you have enough talented pitchers that at least a few of them should shake out. I like Maine better than Lowe, but with the RedSox having a few potential injured SPs, I'm high on Lester to start the season. Worst case scenario: during the year you are forced to move some offensive talent for a SP or two.

Help with mine...

I would get Lester back, drop Snell. There's no offense in Pittburgh to give him the wins and Lester is healthy and in top notch form. I would hold on to the closers too, there's only 30 in the majors and you can never have too many. At the very least, tradebait.....

I also agree, you will need Lester's wins more than Snell's ratios because of your other excellent starters. I'm not really a big believer in Liriano this year. If you could peddle him into getting Gallardo or King Felix you should do it!
