Bn: Towles
Bn: Nick Johnson
Bn: Jay Bruce
SP: Kazmir
SP: Fausto
RP: Putz
RP: Soriano
P: Hudson
P: K. Wood
P: Lilly
I like my mix of veterans and youth, worry about Hafner, when will Bruce play, is N. Johnson going to have the starter's job in Washington? Any comments appreciated.

Your offense is pretty good. I would put in Kelly Johnson instead of Pedroia as your starting 2b always. You also might want to find some steals, your team is definitely lacking speed. Also, for your pitching, you need some better middle relievers too. Holds is one of the categories, but you're not addressing it.

Some advice...I would drop Nick Johnson, Pedroia, and/or Towles. Get some speed and some good middle relief guys.

It looks pretty good. The only problem I have is once the season start. You have so many postion bench players. Are you going to be able to get them all in? With teams all having games on pretty much the same days, that would leave you with 5 bench players. Why not trade some bench for starting pitching. Much easier to find a spot every 5 days then every day. Good luck.

That was the plan, the starters I have look solid enough but if they need help there are always favorable matchups to exploit.

KJ and Peds are interchangable and if both get too hot I can use one for tradebait.

Upton will run more this year, but you're right, steals are light on my team.


Also, for your pitching, you need some better middle relievers too. Holds is one of the categories, but you're not addressing it.

Since they haven't determined a closer in Chicago and Atlanta yet, Wood and/or Soriano could be that holds guy. In which case I'm fairly well covered. If not then they'll be big saves guys which again could be trade bait if I need help somewhere else. Middle relief guys seem to appear after the season gets going.

Any word on playing time this season for Bruce? I know Dusty is gunshy with the young kids and his position is deeply stocked right now, but I'm hoping he gets some action.
