Question about CBS prize elgibility

Postby justinA » Thu Feb 19, 2004 4:16 pm

Residents of Montana, Vermont, Louisiana, Arizona, Florida, Iowa and Maryland may play, but are not eligible to win any prizes.

Whats up with that?? Are any of u guys legal buffs and know why this is? I live in Maryland and use CBS, but luckily I am in a Commish league so the money is handled by the commish, not CBS. I am just interested why some states dont allow it.

PS: I am also not 18 so i wouldnt elgible anyway ;-)

Because it's considered a lottery in those states. And the only lottery/gambling permitted in the state is through either state-sanctioned lottery sellers or Indian casinos.
