how does my roster look? WHIR

Postby Shiner » Thu Mar 13, 2008 11:03 pm

This is a 10 team keeper league that we keep 8 each year. We are going into our 7th year as a group. We use standard 5x5 scoring. What do you think of my roster and what do you think my chances are of shaking the brides maid tag? I think my biggest weakness is RP but,I will either have to pay dearly or play the wire. Do you see anything I should try to improve? Post your link and I'll help if I can.

Ridiculously strong team, even for a ten teamer.

Everyone but Uggla should be drafted in the first five or six rounds. Well done.

Nice solid young pitching staff.

Play the wire when it comes to RP. Remember how many pitchers start the year with the closers role, and don't end up finishing.

Grab a shovel. I dig your team.

Basically I'm complicated.
I have a hard time taking the easy way
I wouldn't call it schizophrenia
But Ill be at least two people today

If that's OK

And I can go on, and on, and on...

But who cares?

I think offensively you are stacked. However you need to address the SP. In a 10 team mixed league relying on billingsley, Jimenez, and Hughes is a mistake. I might consider seeing what you can get for Berkman. Teixeira and Atkins and Konerko should cover the corner spots. I expect that Berkman will lose his OF eligibility after this year. He's pretty much permanent at 1B. In a 10 team mixed, the way to address the RP is to play the wire.

Great team!!! Yeah, I'd keep eyes open and just play the wire for the time being. remember last year when BJ Ryan went down...Accardo was money(and I grabbed him). I also grabbed up Alan Embree who did a fine stand in for Huston Street last year also. I didn't draft well as far as RPs go but ended up 3rd in SV. It's a long season and closers will come and go. Good Luck!!!
