How to start pitchers

I'm in a league that allows you to put either SP's or RP's in the same slots. Should I only start SP's that are actually starting each day, and fill the rest with my RP's?

Yes.

Depending on what your minimum innings pitched is if its high, I would start pitchers who are starting on their given day everyday and relievers in the spots of pitchers who are not starting that day.

If the minimum is rather low some strategy comes in where you can play it conservative and play your matchups on choosing who to throw during the week.

Generally, you should fill in your relievers in spots where you don't have a guy starting that day just to get the most out of your pitching stats.

The minimum is 10 innings, and its a H2H league if that matters. Thanks for the feedback!

10 IP is pretty easy to reach if you have 5+ pitchers. SP alone can easily get 10 between 2 guys on an average day. Pay attention to the matchups of pitchers though, as some may not be favorable and therefore it may be a risk to start them. In most cases, start Pitchers when you can.
