what do you think about these contract terms?

Postby pjalst » Thu Mar 13, 2008 10:16 pm

I won the following players in my recent dynasty auction to fill vacancies in my roster. What do you think about the lengths of these contracts too long or not long enough?

League info - 12 team 5x5 roto, $260 Cap, 5 year Max on player contracts.

Carlos Lee (Hou - OF) $27/ 3 yrs
Joaquín Benoit (Tex - RP) $1/ 1 yrs
Aaron Hill (Tor - 2B) $8/ 2 yrs
Dustin McGowan (Tor - SP) $6/ 5 yrs
Ian Snell (Pit - SP) $6/ 5 yrs
Ty Wigginton (Hou - 1B,2B,3B,OF) $5/ 1 yr
Tom Gorzelanny (Pit - SP) $6/ 1 yr
Bengie Molina (SF - C) $3/ 1 yr
Andy Sonnanstine (TB - SP) $1/ 1yr

Carlos Lee (Hou - OF) $27/ 3 yrs
I like that you only gave him 3 years you don't want to be stuck with some one to long.

Ian Snell (Pit - SP) $6/ 5 yrs
If Pit starts to do good you will be glad you have him.

Ty Wigginton (Hou - 1B,2B,3B,OF) $5/ 1 yr
I would have went with 2 years on him

Tom Gorzelanny (Pit - SP) $6/ 1 yr
Again maybe a 2 years would have been good here.

These terms are not set in stone yet. I can still change them. Gorz is still young, I will concider raising his years. Not sure about Wigg though.

The only reason I like Wigg is he can play anywhere you want, so if someone gets hurt he can be the quick fix.

I agree, but will Wiggs still be used as a utility guy in 2008 and qualify for multiple positions in 2009?
