Can anyone shed any light on Daric Barton of the A's?
Had great numbers for the 18 games he played last year. His stats in the minor leagues confirm that he is a Billy Beene guy. Very high on base percentage, good AVG, and nice slugging percentage.
How many AB's do you think he gets this year? Is he a year or two away from getitng more playing time.
Any info would be appreciated!

Barton is more along the lines of a Mark Grace mold. i'd lump him in the same breath as a James Loney and Conor Jackson as well. great OBP guys with good plate dicipline and average but below average power for a corner IF.

I concur although I think Loney and Barton will hit for more power than people credit them for.
