Know of a Free Site To Run a Live Draft out of? (not yahoo)

Postby blankman » Thu Feb 19, 2004 1:01 pm

I made a Yahoo league with some of my friends, but all of the possible live draft times are during school, so we can't make any of those.

Does anyone know of another site where we can run our live draft for free and then I could import the rosters to Yahoo?

thanks

I can't think of any, but if you check back on Yahoo a couple times a day they will add more days and time slots when the others are filled up.

Worst case scenario you could try and get all your league mates together on an instant messenger and do the draft like that (though everyone has to make sure they have rankings with them).

If its with your friends, why not do it the old fashion way and get everyone together and have a real "live" draft that way?

Andy- It would be preferable I think to have it done online if possible, so thats why I asked. If we can't find another site or if Yahoo doesn't add times then I guess we will have to do it the old fashioned way.

Nevermind, I see that Yahoo has added weekend and night times.

We are holding our draft on Yahoo Messenger. Everyone's already got a Yahoo ID anyways, and this way we have a bit more control over the draft than if we did it through our Yahoo league. Plus, people can use different colors and emoticons to enhance the trash talking. :-D

IRC works too, if everyone in your league knows how to use it.

THat's where we do our auction draft, then I manually input the teams into Yahoo.
Bah, humbug.

I am interested in this myself, because the network at school here has java blocked, therefore I cannot participate in Yahoo's drafts. It sure would be nice for someone to develop a website that gives people more control over their drafts (for keeper leagues, etc) and have a html version or something that refreshes every 15 seconds or so and still have a preranking lists for just in case scenerios. Maybe one day...
