Roster slots

I'm a first-tome commish in a 5x5 H2H league on Yahoo. I've noticed that Yahoo, unlike ESPN, defaults to 3 OF slots, while ESPN uses 5 I think. Do you think there are advantages to one over another? Which do you prefer?
