Ya, pretty gutless move by some people to laugh about this.
The guy has been through the ringer with injuries and this could mean the end of his career. It's always sad to see such immense talent wasted by injuries.

Shame that a player with so much talent has really never even had a chance to show what he could do in the major leagues. Hopefully he can at least beat this, so he can have a normal life with his family.
It is very sad. I just talked with some people who were there at the conference and they said it was very emotional, especially after the "cameras were off" and off the record. This is tearing this guy up, and he is starting to realize he most likely will never be able to play the game he loves again, and as RUMP said, may not have a normal life again.
I think one of the biggest problems he is facing now is not knowing what is wrong. If you destroyed your knee at least you know, they can describe it, but they do not know the cause and the guy has been through more tests than anyone you know
I'm afraid I don't know much about this illness. Does he have Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, and if so how does one get it? Regardless, it's a sad thing, and I wish him all the best.

That is what they are calling it right now, but they don't know for sure

I remember when the OF was a strength for the Rays, those were the days. "You have Crawford, Delmon, BJ, Rocco, Dukes, and Gomes/Gathright .... the Rays will be fine, they need to trade some to make room for guys like BJ/Delmon ...". Ahh yes, those indeed were the days. Is it possible to veto the Rays to get back Delmon, like you know ... Freidman saying he had his fingers crossed the whole time?
