I can't believe some of you think this is funny. The guy was close to tears when he announced this.
I just hope he recovers and gets back to the majors

From what I heard this is likely to cost him his career in the MLB :,-( :,-(

Man, that sucks. The guy had so much potential. Hopefully he finds a way back.

I thought that was hard for all of us...? :-D

Poor Rocco. The guy is so likable- but his body is so brittle. It's like he's Mr. Glass.

Yeah I'm in the same boat. In my defense it's a 15 team mixed league that uses 5 OF + UT. However, I should have known better. :-[

Mine is a 14 team mixed league, but that's no excuse. It was a stupid decision by me in the draft, I'm not sure what I was thinking when I did it.

That sucks for him, really too bad. It also kind of sucks for the Rays though, I can't see Floyd lasting a whole season in the field?

Maybe they'd want to consider going after Coco Crisp here and move Upton to RF or something like that? :-?

Sucks on many levels. For his owners, and especially him as a person. I had a student once who suffered from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, was a serious illness, and screwed her up pretty bad. Nice to see acs is still a scumbag, though.

To be fair, the first post didn't mention anything about Baldelli being reduced to tears and this latest setback being not just possibly career ending, but even life threatening also. It looked more just another addition to the long list of Baldelli injuries that would knock him out for awhile but not threaten his baseball career and more.

Terrible news. :-/ I heard about this sometime last week from a friend in Durham. His career is more then likely over and he could possibly have life long problems as well. Shame that a player with so much talent has really never even had a chance to show what he could do in the major leagues. Hopefully he can at least beat this, so he can have a normal life with his family.
