We're just going to have to pretend this season started after the All-Star break. That means we can continue the Butler hype since he's hitting .333 with 4 HR and 14 RBIs.

The change in his batting stance has nothing to do with it. I traded him away in 2 leagues around the AS break. It figures that he would break out now.

So it wasn't the batting stance change it was the fact you traded him away? Can you send me a PM/email when you make your next deal so I know who to grab? I'd really appreciate it.

FYI - I've traded to get Billy Butler back, so he's due for a long slump. And stay away from Brandon Morrow.

Logically my hitting has been thinned out due to injuries/slumps and Morrow might be headed to the minors for a bit (thus not helping). But it's a keeper and each has its value.

Butler didn't live up to the hype this season, but he's shown enough over the 2nd half that he might get another 50 page thread before next season.

Since the all-star break he's hitting .331 with 8 homeruns in 160 AB

I'm actually impressed with his season.... He started the year off pretty good....then he got into a funk and we now know the reason why (his stance/position in the batters box)....he fixed that and has started raking ever since.

I feel pretty good to say that if he can keep his consistancy in the box, which I think he will now since he understands it. Then he will only continue to improve from here.

I like him quite a bit for next year.....Not sure he'll hit 25 plus bombs next year(though I think that will come eventually) but everything else should show signs of improvement.

I won't disagree but there is only room to improve going forward....it'd be really really hard to be worse or even just as bad as they all have been this year. (I hope)
