In 53 AB - .377/.441/.679 w/ 3hr and has only k'd twice. But lets keep him down, he has to prove something that only the Royals can see.

well they sent him down to get his confidence back and to bring about his power. he isnt hitting a HR in every at bat, so he isnt ready or he is slacking. it's that simple. the royals front office shouldnt be criticized because he isnt doing what he is supposed to be doing.

I'm actually lovin every minute of his time down.....he's raking and getting his confidence back. He was fat and happy up in the bigs....he was a baserunning nightmare...forgot on a few occasions how many outs there were and looked AWFUL at the plate. This should put his head back on straight and let him know its not all good once he gets to the bigs, he has to work and work on all facets of his game. As soon as there is another injury he'll be back up and it all will be for the better, IMO. I'll guess it will be less than 2 weeks and he'll be back up.

Bring him back after the AS break. Start fresh and send out something that resembles a ML lineup. Get Gload out of the lineup to join TPJ in the DFA (assuming they clear waivers ). Grudz will be traded before too long so we should be looking at something like:

DeJesus CF
Aviles SS
Gordon 3B
Guillen RF
Olivo 1B
Butler DH
Callaspo 2B
Teahan LF
Buck C

Then they are down to only looking for a way to get rid of Teahan and Buck.

Butler has been recalled to the ML team with Callaspo going to the DL. Not sure if he will make the lineup tonight but should be in by tomorrow at least.

The Royals have reportedly called up Billy Butler and placed Alberto Callaspo on the disabled list for evaluation and treatment of an unspecified medical condition.

Since when is being an idiot a medical condition? It's good to see Butler back after he tore up Triple-A pitching for a month. He should be a major asset in AL-only leagues the rest of the way, and mixed leaguers need to keep an eye on him.
