torre will probably play andruw at CF, pierre at LF, and share time with kemp and ethier at RF. if not, everyone other than andruw will share time in the OF.
I agree, but he would make a great #3 outfielder, with potential to become your #2 essentially. He'd make for a good sleeper pick, except everyone knows about him now, and you have to overpay for him.
To answer your question though, should be the real deal. (How many times have we said that before?)
I thought enuff of Matt Kemp to have him on my team
He is just starting to come into his own and we haven't even seen his best...which we will start to see this year.

More likely Ethier and Pierre at LF and Kemp firm in RF. You have to consider that it's really put up or shut up time for Colletti as he refused every chance to use Kemp as trade bait for an ace pitcher. Kemp will likely get the nod over Ethier to have first crack at starting.
On paper, Kemp is the real deal. I think he still needs to improve in his pitch recognition and make better baserunning decisions, but he has the skill set to hit for contact and power. He's been compared to Manny and Grady Little once even uttered a Joe Dimaggio comparison. Both seem extreme, but Kemp reminds me more of a Derrek Lee type. He's got good speed for a guy his build, but a really sweet power stroke. If he improves his batting eye, perhaps I'll start believing he's a Manny type (with a little less power but more speed).
As for where Kemp is being drafted, I don't blame guys for taking him in the 9th-11th round range, but when you consider that the likes of Jeremy Hermida and Billy Butler tend to be taken later, they're better bargains possibly than Kemp.

You have Kemp and Pierre in your OF? Hate to break it to you, but they're fighting each other for Playing Time. That is really the only thing holding Kemp back this year. No one doubts he has serious tools, but Torre needs to find a way to get him into that crowded outfield. I think its only a matter of time IMO.

Obviously my pitching is going to carry me. I have good team speed...really good.
I think Pierre will get mad and lose out in playing time and be traded. I can then keep him or use him as trade bait.

Kemp and Pierre play two different positions, they're not fighting eachother for playing time. The player i'd be concerned about is Andre Eithier. He will steal playing time from both Pierre and Kemp. As far as Kemp goes, I wouldn't be too concerned about his playing time. That is as long as Big Joe can put up with Kemps inability to run the bases properly. oh, and Pierre will end up getting traded.
Torre seems to enamored with Juan Pierre. And if spring training is of any worth in projections, it seems as though Kemp and Ethier are gonna be splitting time again... if anything, and this surprises me, Torre seems to favor Ethier right now. So unless they move Juan Pierre, I just don't see Kemp getting more than 400 at bats. And I have Kemp in a keeper league, so It pains me to write this.
