Francisco Cordero, MacDougal, Denny Kolb, or Mike DeJean? Pick two.

Hhmmm....

Kolb has the closer job.
MacDougal will start out as the closer.
Cordero will be fighting Zimmerman for the job.
DeJean is behind Julio.

So I guess I'd pick Kolb and MacDougal.

I completely forgot about Julio, but I thought Zimmerman was hurt...? Either way, I was leaning towards Kolb and Mac anyways, thanks.

Cordero and Kolb.

Zimmerman shouldn't be a threat until he pitches regularly in the regular season and if Cordero has a hard time. If Julio is available, then I'd probably take him over Kolb.

zimmerman isnt ready to close yet, and may never be. id take cordero and julio, macdougal could be a very good closer, but he struggled last year and they wont hesitate to yank him if he cant find his controll.

It's still a month and a half before the season starts you should be able to do a little better than these guys. If you can't I would go with Cordero or Kolb.

Agree with Bell.

Cordero is a good closer - his K/IP > 1. If he could walk fewer batters he could become one of the elite closers. Zimmerman won't be taking his job. Kolb is unlikely to repeat the 1.96 ERA, but should hold the closer position throughout the year.

Just because a closer is on a bad team doesn't mean they won't produce well. Look at Hoffman through the years, to name but one.

MacDougal is awful. Technically he's the closer, but I'd stay away unless you are incredibly desperate. He's a top candidate to lose the closer role.

DeJean will only take over if Julio fails. Julio isn't great, so maybe DeJean is worth taking a late round flyer on - but there are probably better options at middle relief.

I'd only draft Bell in a very very very deep league. Or one that counts posts. :-D
