Jim Edmonds Slow to recover

Postby DieHardCubbie » Thu Feb 19, 2004 8:15 am

Jim Edmonds has neither swung a bat nor thrown a ball since having surgery on his throwing shoulder Dec. 4.
Edmonds was supposed to be ready for the start of spring training, but it now looks like he won't resume playing in games until mid-March. Although he says he feels "great", it will be a good idea to downgrade him on your draft lists if he has even a minor setback.

FWIW..... :-)
Useless Trivia of the day

England's Worcester Canoe Club set the world record for paddling a hand-propelled bathtub. The 25 man team covered a distance of 55 miles, 425 yards in 24 hours on September 28 and 29, 1979.

hmmm this makes me cautious indeed. Edmonds is a guy i would seriously look at a lil later as a 3rd maybe 2nd outfielder. i like the lineup he is in and that he hits for power and average. I just wonder how well he can come back....

he missed a bunch of spring training time last year with a calf strain but ended up batting .391 in april. as long as he isnt lying when he says he feels great i wouldnt worry too much.
