Gave autodrafting a try... and it seems to have turned out pretty well, though I clearly need another starter or two, maybe an upgrade at 1b, and would love to exchange quantity of closers for quality.

Hmm solid hitting but only 7 pitchers? Trade away lots of your bench guys they won't do much for you sitting on the pines. Don't upgrade 1st base! Teixeira is a great 1B and shout hit around 30-35 homers this year. Reyes, Bradley, and Cabrera can all get you decent pitchers in return so you might wanna ship them off. Remember pitching wins championships.
