i knew he was going to do that and tried to offer him deals for tex, but he kept offering me hafner instead :-[

Yeah, he is trying to dump Hafner like crazy, but I would have been interested if Tex was a part of the deal. Given my situation with Garko and Kotchman, I needed a significant upgrade to make the moves he was asking me for...

Quentin's a nice buy. Only thing I don't get about the trade is that Teix is very young as well so it's not really a vet-for-kid trade...

Right. Teixeira is younger, but honestly I've come to think he's slightly overrated. He routinely starts EVERY year insanely slow and then blows up in the second half. In a H2H league thats tough to deal with. I've been trying for weeks to make some moves and haven't gotten anyone to budge, so finally I lowered my standards somewhat.

With that said I wouldn't be surprised if Butler was better than Teixeira next year and if I'm not competing there is no reason to hold on to closers...

Finally I'm still looking to move hafner at an extremely reduced price as well as my other half closer and hideki matsui. If you are interested in any of those guys shoot me an offer...

EDIT: Also victorino and Dice K are guys i'm interested in moving...
