More fire in the AL East is a good thing. Makes for an exciting summer. ;-D

18 games of this could be awesome. Heck maybe we can draw 10,000 more people to the Yankee games just due to these spring training games. ;-D

Yankee games usually sell out, but they are Yanks fans, so lets hope they are Rays fans

Video of the play. And may I add Gomes has one of the weakest tackles I've seen. He get close to Duncan and kind of... fell behind him..... like he's a punter or something. Professor Farnsworth laughs at this.

Not that I've seen it, it was pretty weak but hey we don't usually get this much excitement in ST so I'm not complaining. Just so I don't get anymore nasty PMs about being anti-DRay let me balance the scales and say that the slide into 2nd was dirty and a Nancy way of retaliating. Should have just led off the game with the classic bean.

Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey

Yeah that slide was insanely dirty. He was out by a mile it was just plain stupid, regular season or ST it doesnt matter. This is just another example of the yankees being the most classless organization in all of sports... :-t

Err that should have been "Now that I've seen it". I would have edited it but you quoted me. :*)

Have you heard of the Patriots? (Which I suppose is synonymous to asking 'Did you watch ESbN between September 2007 and February 23rd 2008?')

I dont think thats strong at all. Remember the yankees have a HUGE history of absolutely classless acts. Just to name a few...

- Arod slapping the ball out of a glove to reach first base

- Don Zimmer charging the mound (i dont like pedro's reaction but an 80 yr old should never do that period, he brought it on himself)

- Steinbrenner getting suspended for connections with the mob and gambling problems

- "Firing" billy martin about 100 times

- Not having the balls to fire torre and instead insulting him with a 2 mil paycut

Hank and Hal have only followed in these footsteps as they have already been hit with tampering charges this off-season and saying some of the dumbest things I've ever heard. But hey I would be mad too if I were the only franchise in any sport to lose a series after being up 3-0 :-b
