Following is my team in a 12 team traditional 5x5.

This is my first draft in a 12 team league, non-keeper. Any suggestions

Thank you for any helpful criticism. I am a little concerned that I may have reached for Takashi Saito. I plan on picking another closer off the waiver wire once that position has evened itself out a bit.

Just for future reference, posting your team in order by position (C, 1B, 2B, 3B, so on...) makes it a little easier to judge your team.

I'm not a fan of drafting catchers early at all. So I disagree with the Martin pick, but that's hardly something that you won't be able to overcome. I like your offense a lot. SS is your weakest position, but you make up for it with a great outfield and excellent corner infielders. Your starting pitching is also solid. Peavy and Lackey is a great 1-2 punch, though I'd look to add another starter behind them. Nothing too flashy that you'll have to overpay for, but a solid, mid-rounder with some potential would help out your staff. You may have reached for Saito a bit, but he's a solid closer. You've only got one right now, so keep your eye on the WW for new closers as they emerge.

Overall, very nice job. I'd try to improve SS if you can, and look to add more value to your starting pitching. Good luck.

You're gonna need to get another closer, since you only have one right now.

Any closers on the WW right now? If not, keep an eye on the chicago situation.

I wouldn't worry too much since someone WILL lose their job..just keep close attention.
