NL-only keeper - Lincecum or Cain?

Seeking advice for an NL-only keeper roto league. 12 teams. Six keepers. Below are three variations I'm considering for keepers. The first two teams come down to either Lincecum or Cain. I’m intrigued by the power and flexibility in Team C. Is it best to go with four bats in this type of league?

Categories include innings pitched, wins, strikeouts, saves, ERA and WHIP.

It's a hard quesiton to answer without knowing how much money you spend.

Y. Escobar won't have his job for very long and i think last year was a mirage, so i wouldn't consider that option under the assumption that it's a trade.

Personally I think that both lincecum and cain are almost even... I have a slightl preference for cain because i think they're practically the same age, and he has been effective at the MLB level. but would let the money make the decision for me...assuming .70 has some sort of value in your league keep lincecum. Without knowing your budget again it's hard to answer this question.

Interesting assessment of Yunel Escobar. I'm kind of high on him right now, so your comments are worth hearing. I thought he showed significant promise last year. Plus, in some leagues, I think he might qualify at 3B, SS and 2B. I might be wrong.

I guess you can't go wrong with Utley, but I'm worried just a bit that he's due for a subpar year like Jason Bay.

If it were me I'd probably keep 4 bats, even though you do have great young arms. Is TEAM C a representation of a trade of Utley for Tex and Escobar? If so, it is intriguing. I'm an Atlanta fan, and I'm high on Escobar too, but I don't really share your concern for Utley though. As long as he's healthy he'll have a hell of a year IMO. Who is your next best batter if you weren't to do the trade and kept 4 bats anyway. (Still assuming it's a trade.)

Team C is not the result of a trade idea. I have too many great players I can't keep. Tex is one who probably is too expensive.
