They only play a 90 game season.

If the following article is still valid, the Cuban League regular season is only 90 games long:
http://www.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd ... &c_id=null 90 games x 6 seasons = 540 games
Using this figure as a baseline, it can be deduced that Ramirez only missed 19 games total over the past six years.

Any word on how many walks to expect? I'm in an OBP league, so while the high BA is nice, I'd also like to see some OBP numbers.

YES! I spend a whole buck on him at auction and hope he gets 400+ AB this year (and of course does well)! That would be huge for me!

Well, he's starting on opening day ... maybe if he keeps tearing the cover off the ball, they'll find a permanent spot for him.
From Sportsline:
News: The White Sox will open the season with rookie Alexei Ramirez starting in center field, according to MLB.com. He hit .358 with two home runs in 67 at-bats this spring. Analysis: Ramirez will likely man center only until Jerry Owens can return from a tear in his groin. The Cuban can also man a few infield positions, though, so he has plenty of value in AL-only leagues. Mixed-league owners shouldn't completely keep him off their radar either.
