Not much talk about this guy on the boards here, but he's hitting .471 so far in Spring Training for the White Sox - he's a 26-year-old Cuban import, listed as 2B on Sportsline but has been playing a lot of SS in Spring Training so far.
Any opinions out there on him, it looks like he's been hitting the crap out of the ball so far and could be a good sleeper 2B/SS/MI.

All to be determined. As of right now, he's highly, highly, highly undrafted. And no, he's not guaranteed a starting job at this point. Supposedly the plan was for Richar to be the 2B, with Uribe trying to battle it out. Now Alexei is showing his stuff offensively and defensively and he's really putting (or is going to put) Ozzie to a decision.
Either way, he's not going to see 500 at bats. Richar and Uribe will shuffle in often enough to take away PT.
In Keeper Leagues and Dynasties, though, you gotta grab this guy
Sorry to burst your guys bubbles, but its spring training. Up until 10/11 days before the season starts, a player could be hitting .850 and you shouldn't even get excited because pitchers aren't throwing their best stuff. Pitchers won't throw sliders or any breaking pitch in their first or second ST start to protect their arms, so what he's done up to this point shouldn't put him on your fantasy radar.
I don't think he'll earn the job before the season starts, there is just too much unknown about this guy, and therefore shouldn't be drafted in most leagues.
He was actually on my radar before Spring Training started... and if you want to rain on our parade that's cool, but do keep in mind he's getting a pretty good dose of playing time right now, which goes to show you that Ozzie's seeing what he's got in this kid. Plus the White Sox signed him to a 4-year contract and he plays multiple positions, so a lot of people are speculating he's got a decent shot at good playing time.
I'm not intimating that he's going to be the fantasy MVP or anything, I'm just looking into him as a late-round sleeper.
The Chicago Sun-Times reports that Danny Richar has aggravated a back injury that he originally suffered while playing winter ball. ''He's got this back problem, and this was a guy that was already behind,'' manager Ozzie Guillen said. ''We'll see. Hopefully he can bounce back and not fall too far behind.'' With visa and back issues holding Richar back in camp thus far and Guillen criticizing Alexi Ramirez's defense at second base, Juan Uribe's chances of winning the job have gotten a big boost. Does Ramirez have a shot at making the team as a reserve or would they want him to get more seasoning in the minors?
